SPONGE CAKE - QUICK RECIPE 
2 eggs, beat until light
2/3 c. sugar, add gradually
2 tbsp. hot water, added
2/3 c. flour, sifted with 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Fold flour and baking powder into egg mixture and vanilla. Bake in moderate oven 25 minutes in greased and floured Pyrex loaf pan.
