MINIATURE CORNUCOPIA | |
20 slices white bread 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter, melted 1 recipe deviled ham spread Parsley and paprika for garnish Preheat oven to 350 degrees. With 3-inch round cookie cutter to cut bread (I usually use regular glass, 3 inches wide). Flatten each circle with rolling pin. Pressing firmly. Brush both sides with melted butter. Roll to form cornucopias. Fasten with toothpick. Insert a small ball of crumbled foil. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet, for about 12 minutes or until toasted. At serving time, fill with a teaspoon of recipe deviled ham spread, and garnish with parsley sprigs, at the fold. Sprinkle with paprika over ham spread. Makes 20. RECIPE DEVILED HAM SPREAD: 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature 2 oz. can deviled ham 3 tbsp. minced onion 1 1/2 tsp. well-drained horseradish 1/8 tsp. celery seed Dash of salt and pepper |
