4 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. soy sauce 4 1/2 c. old fashioned oats 1/3 c. oil 1 diced onion 1 piece garlic 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning (I add more) 1/4 c. Brewers yeast 1 tbsp. chicken bouillon Bring soy sauce and water to a boil. Turn down heat and add oats. Cook for about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool. Saute in a separate pan the oil, onion and garlic. Then add the onion and garlic mixture to the oat mixture. Add the Italian seasoning, Brewers yeast and chicken bouillon mix. Form into patties and bake until nicely browned (about 45 minutes) at 350 degrees. Turn every 15 minutes to keep from burning. Really good also if baked with mushroom gravy on them. |
