GINGER CHICKEN 
3 tbsp. butter flavored Crisco
3 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 lb. chicken (drumsticks and thighs)
1/3 c. honey
1/3 c. chili sauce
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. ground ginger

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Heat shortening and butter in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish until melted. Mix flour, salt and 1/2 tsp. ginger and the pepper. Coat chicken thoroughly. Place chicken skin sides down in pan. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Turn and bake 15 minutes more. Remove chicken, drain fat and line pan with aluminum foil. Return chicken to pan. Mix honey, chili sauce, soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon ginger. Pour over chicken. Bake for 15 minutes, basing every 5 minutes.
