LEMON BARS 
1 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
2 c. all-purpose white flour

FILLING:

4 tsp. lemon juice
Grated rind of 2 lemons
4 eggs, well beaten
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. white flour
1 c. shredded coconut (optional)

Crust: Thoroughly mix ingredients in mixing bowl. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 15 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven until very pale tan. Cool.

Filling: Thoroughly mix all ingredients. Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool thoroughly and cut into small bars and serve.
