HOMEMADE ICE CREAM 
2 env. Knox gelatin
1 c. milk
5 eggs
3 c. sugar
Whole milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant pudding
2 pts. half and half
4 tsp. vanilla

Soften gelatin in 1 cup milk. Micro cook (or stir over low heat) until gelatin dissolves. Beat eggs until very thick and pale yellow. Add sugar and salt; beat 3 minutes. Pour in hot milk and gelatin into egg mixture and blend well. Pour into large bowl. Add instant pudding, half and half and vanilla. Put into freezer, add enough milk to fill 2/3 full. Freeze until done. Makes 1 1/2 gallons.
