PEANUT BUTTER BALLS 
1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. butter, room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) pkg. confectioners' sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
2 tbsp. shortening

Line a baking sheet with wax paper. In medium bowl mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar with hands, to a smooth dough. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on wax paper and refrigerate.

In top of double boiler cover hot, not boiling, water. Melt chocolate and shortening. Using a toothpick inserted in peanut butter ball, dip into chocolate to cover 3/4 of ball. Place back on wax paper and refrigerate. Delicious and enjoy!
