BOILED CABBAGE | |
1 head cabbage 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 strips bacon 1/2 tsp. Spike 1/2 link sausage Fry bacon in a large saucepan. Shred cabbage and place in saucepan with bacon and grease. Add water to cover cabbage. Add salt, pepper, Spike and mix. Bring to a boil and cover; simmer for about 25-30 minutes. In separate skillet prepare sausage. Dice or leave whole brown well and add sausage to cabbage the last 10 minutes of cooking. Drain and serve. Add pepper sauce to taste. |
