BREAD PUDDING 
2 tbsp. butter
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 1/2 c. bread, cut in 1/2" cubes
1 qt. milk

Melt butter; combine with eggs, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and milk. Stir until sugar is dissolved and pour over bread cubes. Pour into 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Serve cold with whipped cream or warm with lemon sauce.

LEMON SAUCE:

1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. salt

Combine sugar, cornstarch and water in a double boiler and stir until thickened over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in butter, lemon juice and salt. Pour over bread pudding.
