EIGHT LAYER CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 tsp. Italian seasoning 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 c. lite dairy sour cream 1 (8 oz.) pkg. lite cream cheese 1/2 c. skim milk 2 tbsp. chopped onion 6 oz. noodles, cooked & drained 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, cooked & drained 1 c. grated mozzarella cheese (can use part Cheddar) In a skillet, cook ground beef; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bring to boil and simmer, uncovered 5 minutes. Combine sour cream, cream cheese, milk and onion. In a greased 2 quart casserole layer half the noodles, half the meat, half the cream cheese mixture and all the spinach. Top with remaining meat and noodles. Cover; bake in 350 degree oven 45 minutes (chill remaining cream cheese mixture). Remove from oven. Spread with cream cheese mixture. Top with cheese. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes more. Serves 6. |
