SPICY BEEF 
1 lb. sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 med. onion, sliced
1 (12 oz.) can of beer
1/2 c. beef broth
1/8 tsp. hot red pepper or Tabasco sauce
2 tsp. brown sugar
3 lg. carrots, sliced
3 c. hot cooked rice

Blend cornstarch, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Coat meat with this mixture. Brown meat in oil. Cook 2-3 minutes. Stir in beef broth, Tabasco sauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add carrots and cook 15 minutes longer or until meat is tender. Serve over rice. Serves 4.
