BEEF BARBECUE 
3 lbs. chuck roast
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
8 drops hot pepper sauce

Cool roast about 2 hours or until tender and can be pulled apart or shredded easily. Melt butter in skillet and fry onion until clean in color. Add remaining ingredients to onions and bring to a boil for 1 minute.

Pour over meat which has been shredded and cut up. Add 1 1/2 cups water. Let simmer for 45 minutes, uncovered. Pork roast may be used in place of beef. Serve on buns with cole slaw.
