QUICK APRICOT PECAN BARS 
1/2 c. dried apricots
1 1/2 c. cold water
1 c. flour
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. butter
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. confectioners sugar to roll in after cool

Boil apricots and water 15 minutes.

Mix 1 cup flour, 1/3 cup sugar and butter until crumbly. Press into greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes at 350.

Beat eggs, salt, brown sugar, extract, baking powder. Add pecans. Pour over crumb mixture. Bake 30 minutes at 350. Cool, cut into bars, roll into confectioners' sugar.
