SUNSHINE SPONGE CAKE 
6 egg whites, save yolks
1/2 c. sugar
6 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder

Beat egg whites and sugar until stiff. Put yolks in another large mixing bowl. Beat until light in color, about 5 minutes. Add rest of ingredients and mix well; fold in egg whites.

Pour into an ungreased tube pan. Bake 40-45 minutes on bottom rack at 350 degrees. Invert to cool. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
