SPINACH CASSEROLE | |
1/2 c. spinach juice 1/2 c. Pet milk 2 boxes frozen spinach 4 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. garlic salt 3/4 tsp. celery salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 lb. pepper Jack cheese, cubed bread crumbs (optional) Cook spinach according to package directions; drain and reserve 1/2 cup liquid. In skillet, simmer onions in butter. Add flour and Pet milk to onions. Cook until thick. Add cheese chunks and all seasonings. Cook on top of stove until cheese is melted. Add drained spinach and mix well. Put in 8 x 8 casserole dish. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top (if desired). Bake at 350°F for 30 to 45 minutes. |
