FESTIVE CHERRY BREAD 
1 (16 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 c. flaked coconut
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Dice 1 1/2 cups of cherries and reserve the juice. Beat sugar and eggs together. Add cherries, coconut and nuts. Combine flour, baking powder, salt. Add flour mixture and 2/3 cup cherry juice alternately to the egg mixture. Bake in 2 greased and floured loaf pans at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves.
