BAKED BARLEY 
1 c. barley (yellow front box)
1 stick butter

Brown barley in butter until very brown. Stir in:

3 c. water
1 lg. can mushrooms, drained
3 bay leaves
1 pkg. onion soup mix

Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Remove bay leafs before serving.
