BLITZ TORTE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. milk
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 c. flour, sifted with 1 tsp. baking powder, pinch of salt

Cream butter and sugar well. Add milk, egg yolks and flour mixture. Put in 2 round buttered pans.

Beat 4 egg whites and add 1 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over dough. Top with sliced almonds to decorate. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

FILLING: Fresh or frozen strawberries. Whipped cream or French vanilla ice cream. Put the above filling between the 2 round tortes.
