FISH IN A BAG | |
Heavy wax paper Newspaper or sm. paper bags 1/4 - 1/3 lb. solid white fish per person Good bed of coals Salt & pepper Butter (3 tbsp. per bag) Place fish in a good sized piece of wax paper. Salt and pepper and add butter. Wrap wax paper around the fish and wrap well in the bag or newspaper that has been soaked in water. Have a good bed of coals ready and place the packet on top of the coals and leave it for about 20 to 30 minutes depending on size of fish, turning every 5 to 10 minutes. If the paper becomes too dry, remove from the fire and wet it again and then return it to the coals. It cooks by steam formed inside the packet. |
