out of all the recipes I have reviewed, this item has the most comments and/or alternative recipes. I have yet to try these, in my day we were drinking "Kamikazes", I believe I will try the watermelon one first. You young'uns take it easy on that alcohol. You have heard about psoriasis of the liver and alcoholism? Anything in moderation is o.k., so have fun, but be good to yourself.

I've always made my jello shooters in a bowl . Just scoop out with a spoon into shooter glass or tumbler . Quick and easy and less waste . Give it a SHOT!!! ( Spoon optional )

I didn't have the cups when I made them. I added Knox unflavored gelatin to the jello before adding the alcohol. It made jello blocks that you could cut & pick up. It was a fun twist on the jello shots.

If you like jager use that with blackberry jello. Tastes very good and you can taste the alcohol a little so you know how much you are getting.

I bought the 2 oz. cups with lids at Sams club but beware you get 2 thousand! Then you have to buy the lids separately so it cost me 40 bucks... ouch!! If you are going to use the jello shots for canoe trips and boating, party coving etc. you need the cup with the lids so people quit debating the cups, its fun to share with fellow boaters!

To make jello shots all you have to do is follow the directions on the box. For a 3 oz. box of jello - mix the powder with 1 cup boiling water. Stir until the powder is dissolved. Cool but do not gel. Then add 1 cup vodka. Pour into shot-size cups and refrigerate.

Freeze? I've never put jello shots in the freezer. Will these set up if I put them in the fridge?

Lime Jello and Tequila for Margaritas
Pineapple Jello and Coconut rum for Pina Colada
Strawberry Jello and Rum for Strawberry Daiquiri
Orange Jello and Vodka for Screwdrivers
Get the drift. You can make any of your favorite drinks into a shooter. We use 2 oz shot cups, making them up the night before the party and letting them chill all night!

I would not chance using everclear---a relative of mine who has drank for years had a minute amount and died from alcohol poisoning---they did not have anything else in thier system and was very athletic and healthy, Doctor said --some people cannot drink it at all---and find out only by drinking it and it's too late then--If you do use it----advise everyone there about the risk of everclear if they have not tried it before---and make sure they don't start slamming them down----take your time---it will sneak up on you...

Pour your mixture into a high sided cookie sheet or cake pan. Once jelled just take a knife and cut squares. Simple and reusable.

We make jello shots with flavored vodka matched to the jello. we use veterinary syringes, which work well and can be washed out and sanitized. Blue UV and Blue raspberry jello is great.
