MOM'S CHILI 
3 lb. top round 1/2" cubes or 3 lb. ground beef
5 tbsp. oil
2 c. chopped onions
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. crushed red pepper, optional
2 c. beef broth
1 c. whole tomatoes (1 lb. 13 oz.) crushed
1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 cans pinto beans, drained

Brown meat in 3 tablespoons oil. Remove meat and saute onion and garlic until wilted. Mix in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 hour covered. Add 2 cans of pinto beans and simmer uncovered 1 more hour.
