SCHNITZEL BEANS | |
2 lg. cans (approximately 4 c.) cut green beans, drained 1/2 lb. sliced, cut-up bacon 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 1 lg. onion, chopped Cook bacon in large heavy pot. Drain off fat. Add sugar and vinegar. Cook for a few minutes, occasionally stirring. Add chopped onions. Stir. Add green beans. Simmer 10 minutes in bean pot or covered casserole. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. |
