CHOCOLATE SYRUP CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. flour (if plain, add 1 tsp. baking powder)
1 can Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour alternately with the syrup. Add the vanilla. Pour in pan and cook 25 minutes at 350°F. It may shake but is completely done at 25 minutes.

Icing:

1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Carnation milk
1/2 pkg. chocolate chips (12 oz.)
1 c. chopped pecan meats

Bring to a boil and boil 1 minute the sugar, butter and milk. Add the chocolate chips and pecan meats. Pour over cake while warm (leave in pan). Cake is very rich and is good served hot or cold.
