MEATLOAF WITH SWEET AND SOUR
SAUCE
 
2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
1/2 c. celery, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
Cracker crumbs or bread soaked in warm milk for filling
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 beaten eggs
1/4 c. bell pepper, minced

Mix lightly the above ingredients; form into a loaf and bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes before adding the following sauce: 1 c. water 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tbsp. vinegar

Mix and pour over meatloaf in oven. Continue baking 1 1/2 hours longer, basting occasionally. Serves 6.
