IRISH SODA BREAD 
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 box raisins
2 tsp. caraway seeds
2 c. milk

Sift first 5 ingredients together. Crumble butter into mixture. Add raisins, caraway seeds and milk. Mix together and pour into a 9" cast iron skillet which has been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, then at 325 degrees for about 1 hour more.
