VEAL STIFADO - GREEK 
3 lb. veal stew meat, cut in 1" cubes
1/4 c. olive oil
Salt & pepper
2-3 onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic
1 stick cinnamon
Rosemary
3 tbsp. red wine
1 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp. tomato paste
2 c. beer
Water, optional

Brown veal in some of the olive oil. Remove to casserole. Add salt and pepper. Saute 2-3 onions sliced and 2 cloves garlic in remaining oil for 3-4 minutes. Add to veal.

Combine cinnamon stick, rosemary, red wine, brown sugar, tomato paste and beer. When beer stops foaming, add mixture to veal. Bake covered for 2 1/2-3 hours at 350 degrees. Add a little water if it looks dry.
