UPSIDE DOWN GERMAN CHOCOLATE
CAKE
 
TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. water
2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. coconut
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 c. chopped nuts

CAKE:

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 c. water
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1/3 c. oil
3 eggs

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9x13 inch pan. In small saucepan over low heat, melt 1/4 cup butter with 3/4 cup water, stirring constantly. Stir in brown sugar. Spread evenly in greased and floured pan. Sprinkle coconut, marshmallows and nuts evenly over top.

In large bowl, combine all cake ingredients at low speed until moistened; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Spoon mixture evenly over topping mixture in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 38 to 48 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly.

To serve, cut into squares; invert onto individual plates. Serve warm or cool. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
