AUTUMN FRUIT SALAD 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. halved, red seedless grapes
1 c. diced celery
1 c. walnut halves
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. butter
2 c. cubed, unpeeled apples

In a saucepan combine sugar and flour. Stir in water; bring to a boil. Cook and stir until thickened. Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla. Cool to room temperature.

In a large bowl combine apples, grapes, celery and walnuts. Add dressing, tossing gently. Refrigerate until serving. Yield: 8-10.
