SHRON LOU'S LAYERED POTATO
CASSEROLE
 
5 raw potatoes, pared and sliced thin
1/2 head cabbage, sliced
1 1/2 c. apple, diced
1 med. onion, sliced
3 tbsp. butter
1 pt. whipping cream
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
3/4 c. bread crumbs

Butter a 3 quart long flat casserole. Begin with potatoes as bottom layer, and layer the cabbage, apple, and onion. Place butter dabs on top; pour whipping cream evenly over casserole. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees, covered. Uncover and top with Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs; brown an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
