VEAL GRILLADES | |
2 lbs. cubed veal 1 med. onion 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 garlic clove, crushed 1/2 c. water 1/4 c. butter 1 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. msg. 1 tbsp. flour 1 tbsp. butter Wipe veal clean with a damp cloth. Heat butter and add meat. Brown well and sprinkle with salt, msg. and pepper. Remove meat and set aside. Add chopped onion in 1 tablespoon butter. Blend in flour. When mixture becomes bubbly remove from heat and add water. Return to heat and add meat and garlic. Cover and cook slowly about 1 hour or until meat is tender. Serve over boiled rice. |
