PECAN PASTIES 
1 stick butter
1 package (3 ounce) cream cheese
1 cup flour
1 egg
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup chopped nuts

Soften butter, cheese, add flour and mix until smooth. Make into 36 small balls. Flatten and press into very small muffin tins. Combine brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and egg. Mix and add nuts. Fill shells and bake 30 minutes at 350°F. Double this for 36 muffins.
