SHRIMP FRIED RICE - CHINA 
1/4 c. butter
2 c. cooked shrimp, halved
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. monosodium glutamate
2 eggs, beaten
5 c. cooked rice
3 tbsp. soy sauce
3 green onions with tops, chopped
1/4 c. canned mushrooms
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1 c. diced celery
1/4 c. pimento, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped fine

Melt butter in skillet; add shrimp and seasonings. Cook until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Add eggs, stirring until well mixed with other ingredients. Add rice and cook until a golden color. Stir in remaining ingredients; cook until thoroughly heated. Yields 6 servings.

Almonds, cooked diced pork, crisp fried bacon, diced ham, diced chicken, or other seafood can be used in place of shrimp.
