APPLE AMARETTO TORTE 
CRUST:

1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. Amaretto or almond extract
1 c. flour

10 inch springform. Mix crust ingredients. Press on bottom springform pan.

FILLING:

12 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. Amaretto or almond extract

Combine filling ingredients. Spread on top of crust.

TOPPING:

1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. sliced apples (Granny Smith)
3/4 c. almonds slivered

Combine topping ingredients except 1/4 cup almonds. Toss apples. Arrange on top of filling. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool completely before removing from pan.
