TEA CAKES 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavor
1 c. flour (added last)

Cream butter and sugar; beat in 2 eggs one at a time. Sift together 1 1/2 cups flour, salt, baking powder; add vanilla and sweet milk; add 1 cup flour. Chill until firm; roll on slightly floured board. Cut in rounds. Sprinkle tops with sugar. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes until slightly brown.
