POLVORONES (MEXICAN TEA CAKES) | |
2 1/2 c. flour, sifted 1 c. butter 3/4 c. confectioners' sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt Cream butter, add all ingredients to make a stiff dough. Chill in refrigerator 3 hours make into cookies about 1 inch in diameter. Bake on buttered cookie sheet in hot oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove and roll them in confectioners' sugar. When cool, roll in sugar again. Makes about 5 1/2 dozen. |
