COUNTRY STYLE BEEF 
2 lb. stew beef (cut into 1" cubes)
2 lg. onions
2 tbsp. oil
1 (4 1/2 oz.) can mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup
3/4 c. milk
3/4 c. sour cream
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 lg. potatoes
2 c. grated cheese

Brown beef, onions in oil. Drain mushrooms. Save juice and add water to make 1 cup liquid.

When meat is browned and onions tender, add mushrooms and liquid. Cover, reduce heat to simmer. Cook for 2 hours. In bowl, mix mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, salt and pepper.

In 9 x 13 pan place the meat mixture, slice potatoes and place on meat. Pour soup mixture over top. Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Sprinkle with fine cracker crumbs and bake 20-30 minutes longer until potatoes are tender. Serve.
