BEEF & BISCUIT CASSEROLE
1 - 1 1/4 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 - 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 (8 oz.) can Pillsbury refrigerated country style biscuits
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. dairy sour cream

In large frying pan, brown ground beef and onion; drain. Add these ingredients. Simmer while preparing dough.

Separate dough into 10 biscuits; pull apart. Take 5 biscuits, and roll them out into one layer. Do the same for the other 5 biscuits. Press one layer into an 8" or 9" ungreased baking pan. Combine 1/2 cup cheese (reserve remainder for topping), sour cream and egg; mix well. Remove meat mixture from heat and stir in the sour cream mixture, then spoon over dough.

Arrange remaining biscuit layer on top; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes until biscuits are a deep golden brown.

NOTE: Use a rolling pin to roll out the layers of biscuits.
