HAMBURGER HASH 
1 1/4 lb. ground beef or chuck
2 med. onions, diced
1 green or red pepper
4 c. hash browns
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sugar

Brown beef, remove the fat and cook the onions, pepper and hash browns until almost tender. Stir in the meat, salt and pepper and sugar. Heat until vegetables are tender. I usually use red and green peppers for color.
