HOT MULLED CIDER 
1 tsp. Allspice
1 tsp. whole cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
3 inch cinnamon stick
Orange wedges for garnish
Cinnamon sticks
Dash of nutmeg
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 qts. apple cider

Tie all the spices in a cheese cloth bag. Place brown sugar, spice bag and cider in a large kettle. Slowly bring to a boil; cover and simmer 20 minutes. Before serving, remove spice bag (or place all spices in a basket of a large party size coffee pot). Add the brown sugar, cider and perk through normal cycle. Serve in mugs with an orange wedge and cinnamon stick mulled in each. Can be mulled ahead and reheated at serving time. Serves 10.
