HOT FUDGE SUNDAE DESSERT 
1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers, crushed
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
3/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
Chocolate Sauce (recipe follows)

Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, pecans, and butter, mixing well. Press half of crumb mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish. Spread ice cream evenly over crust. Press remaining crumb mixture over ice cream. Cover and freeze until firm. To serve, cut into squares and top each serving with Chocolate Sauce. Yield: 15 servings.

CHOCOLATE SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Yield: About 2 cups.
