2 tbsp. unflavored gelatin 1/4 c. cold water Flavorings and food colors 2 c. sugar 3/4 c. boiling water Soften gelatin in cold water. Combine sugar and boiling water in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes; add soft gelatin. Stir to dissolve. Boil slowly for 15 minutes. Divide into two parts. Flavor with orange flavoring and add yellow and red coloring to make desired color for orange slices. Flavor the other half strawberry, anise, or any other flavoring you wish. Color according to flavor. Pour into shallow pans that have been dipped in cold water. Chill overnight. Cut in strips or shapes. Roll in granulated sugar. Chill until firm. |
