Drain 1 can French style green beans. Put a layer of green beans in greased casserole. Cover with layer of French fried onion rings. Season with salt and pepper. Repeat these layers. Combine 1/2 cup medium white sauce with 1 can cream of mushroom soup. One half cup grated cheese may be added to sauce and soup mixture. Pour over vegetables, bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. This is a good dish with baked ham.

MEDIUM WHITE SAUCE:

2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
Salt
Pepper
1 c. milk

Melt butter over low heat in heavy saucepan. stir in flour and seasonings. Cook until smooth. Remove from heat. Add milk, bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute.
