TORTILLA TORTE 
2 pkgs. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 pts. sour cream
8 tbsp. powdered sugar
10 (12 inch) flour tortillas
2 oz. German chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix chocolate chips, 2 pints sour cream, the chocolate, and 6 tablespoons sugar in double boiler. Heat over simmering water, stirring, until chocolate melts. Place pan in cold water to cool, stirring occasionally.

On large, flat, round plate place one tortilla and spread with chocolate mixture; stack a tortilla on top and spread with mixture. Repeat, reserving one tortilla. Mix remaining pint of sour cream, 2 tablespoons sugar and vanilla. Spread on top of stack, top with last tortilla and spread remaining mixture on top and sides. Cover with large bowl and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings and cut into wedges to serve.
