4 c. flour 1 lb. butter 1/2 pt. sour cream 4 egg yolks 1 yeast cake or 1 pkg. dry yeast Mix flour and butter together. Beat eggs with fork; add sour cream to eggs and them crumble yeast and add to egg mixture. Add this to the flour mixture, put in bowl and refrigerate overnight. Roll thin and cut in 1 inch squares; put 1/2 teaspoon filling (nut, prune, apricot, etc.) at corner and roll up tight. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 10 minutes at 375 degrees. NUT FILLING: 4 egg whites 2 c. sugar 1 lb. ground walnut meat Combine everything and be sure walnuts are really ground up fine. |
