SENATE BEAN SOUP | |
2 lbs. sm. navy beans 4 qts. hot water Salt & pepper 1 1/2 smoked ham hocks 1 c. chopped onions Wash beans before cooking. Saute onions in butter, put in soup. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 1 hour. Serve with Kentucky corn bread. |
