THE BETTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add the egg. Combine the flours, baking powder and wheat germ. Stir into the butter mixture, blending well. Add the chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
