DELUXE BREAD PUDDING 
4 slices bread
6 eggs slightly beaten
Dash of salt
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter
5 c. of 2% or Regular Milk
1/2 or 3/4 c. raisins
2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 3 quart casserole dish. Toast bread slices lightly. Spread with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar and nutmeg. Spread raisins over top. In sauce pan scald milk. Blend egg, sugar and vanilla and salt and stir i scalded milk. Pour over bread and raisins. In oven place pan of very hot water 1 inch deep and put casserole dish in it. Bake 35 minutes and test with knife. If comes out clean, it is done. Remove from oven and served warm with cream or cool your choice. Serves 8 to 10.
