CAT'S WINK 
1 lb. Cool Crisco
5 c. flour, not sifted
1 tbsp. salt (or less)
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 tbsp. white vinegar

Cut Crisco and sifted ingredients. Beat egg slightly, add vinegar and water to make 1 cup. Blend with flour, using hands. Make 5 balls - wrap in saran wrap. Freeze balls. When needed, take out and put in refrigerator overnight. Roll, between 2 pieces of floured wax paper. Easy, can be fixed ahead, frozen - always ready and not messy.
