1/3 c. shortening (Crisco butter flavor)
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. bran
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. mashed bananas (2 bananas)
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Sift together the dry ingredients. Cream together the shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Mix the bananas together with the creamed mixture, and add the dry ingredients, mixing well. Stir in walnuts.

Bake at 350 degrees in a greased loaf pan about 1 hour, or until done. Remove from the pan and cool on a rack.
