JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. unsifted flour
1 c. oil
1/4 c. orange juice
3 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
5 medium apples or 20 oz. apple pie filling

Combine all ingredients, except apples. Beat together until smooth. Pare and slice apples. Grease tube pan. Pour 1/2 of batter into pan. Top with 1/2 of the apples. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Pour remaining batter over apples and top with remaining apples. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool. Turn onto serving plate.
